More exploring Maldonado with host teachers today. Their kindness and willingness to share their culture has been so kind. The Atchugarry Museum of Contemporary Art (MACA) and more Uruguayan coast line was beautiful. This is a wonderful place to learn about global relations and diplomacy. 💙🤍
Educator Reflection: Some of the most valuable learning happened outside formal school visits. Art, architecture, landscapes, food, and conversations helped me understand that culture cannot be separated from the context in which education takes place. It reinforced for me that global education should help students notice those connections rather than reducing another country to facts on a map or a list of cultural characteristics.
